Background

I started my career as a teacher in 2004, spanning various primary age groups in three distinct schools, my experience has been diverse and enriching. Fuelled by an unyielding passion to unlock the potential within every child, I achieved my SENDCo qualification. Over 11 years, I've proudly served as a SENDCo in two schools, collaborating with specialists to provide exceptional support. My commitment is especially strong for those needing extra guidance in discovering the joy of learning.

The surge in pupils grappling with literacy difficulties captured my attention, inspiring me to delve deeper. Earning a Specialist Dyslexia teaching qualification, I've experienced immense satisfaction in aiding these pupils. Recognising the intricate connection between learning barriers and mental well-being, I furthered my expertise in young people’s mental health. This equips me to not only offer academic guidance but also foster a nurturing environment that prioritises holistic well-being.
